H.E.A.R.T. was founded in 2003, as a membership group that works to raise funds for and offer support to the clients of the Violence Intervention Program at LAC+USC Medical Center. For 25 years, VIP has been providing medical, forensic, mental health and support services to victims of child abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse. As the largest family advocacy center in the United States, VIP sees 20,000 victims of violence each year. The generosity of H.E.A.R.T. members has enabled the group to make immediate and often life changing contributions to the lives of women and children who have faced violence and are struggling just to survive.

Stronger H.E.A.R.T., Safer Children

100 H.E.A.R.T. Members in 2010!

As the number of children being seen at the Violence Intervention Program clinics continues to grow, so does the need for the kind of direct, impactful support that H.E.A.R.T. can offer a family. Join our new campaign to build a bigger stronger H.E.A.R.T. by the end of the year, and make sure that even more children and families are safe from violence and fear.
